This month, we’ve implemented updates and improvements across **EX**ACT. From enhancements to Doctor selection, to changes in Care Manager, performance optimisations, and updates aligning us with NHS requirements.

### Medical

Updates to the Doctor selection functionality.

🖱️ The **Select a Doctor** functionality has received several improvements;

🖱️ The create (**+1**) and edit (**e|d**) options have been reinstated.

🖱️ A search option has been added.

🖱️ The selection option now defaults to Doctor.

🖱️ The Company label has been amended to display as Practice/Company.

### Care Manager

A new reopen option and changes to some of the filtering options in Care Manager improve functionality and usability.

📃 The users listed in the **Assigned To** Filter option are now separated by active and inactive users to simplify filtering options.

📃 A **Reopen **button has been added, enabling rejected courses of treatment to be reopened.

### Performance

We’ve resolved a speed issue with Online Booking, fixed recent crashing errors, and addressed an upgrade bug - all with the aim of improving **EX**ACT’s overall stability and performance.

🌐 The Online Booking tab configuration has been updated to pre-load data and display only the necessary information to reduce slowness.

🐜 A bug stopping Clinipads from upgrading after a server upgrade when using the installer app has been resolved.

🐜 A bug causing workstations to become stuck in an upgrade loop has been resolved.

🐜 An intermittent crashing issue affecting the edit appointment functionality that was caused by family appointments has been resolved.

### NHS

The **Dental Care Provider (DCP)** options have been aligned with the NHS, and a functionality bug has been resolved.

🦷 The Orthodontic Therapist option has been removed from the DCP type list in the Provider Details tab, making this an option that can no longer be selected.

🦷 A Dental Technician's option has been added to the DCP type list on the course of treatment TC window.

🐜 An issue causing the NHS Schedules option to be unavailable within UDA Manager has been resolved.

### Other

In addition to all these areas, several other updates and improvements have been implemented.

🔎 A prompt has been added to the **Search and Change** functionality, warning the user if other users are still logged into **EX**ACT when running a change.

⚙️ A Lab work tab has been made available for use in the activity bar of the appointment book to display the state of future lab work appointments.

⚙️ A filter can be used to toggle the display to show Required (awaiting lab work) or Ready (lab work received) appointments.

🐜 The **Second Opinion AI** full screen now displays the correct patient data instead of a blank screen or incorrect patient information.

🐜 **Presentation Manager** now displays all Odontogram charts.

🐜 A bug causing patient details not to be populated on forms requested for Family Appointments has been resolved.

🐜 Denplan previews now display all the relevant content.

🐜 The Receipt Analysis report now displays payor receipt corrections for all relevant payors.

 

The updates and content in this blog have been implemented throughout June 2025 in versions 25.95 to 25.111 of **EX**ACT.
