EXACT Release Notes, June 2024

Throughout June we've implemented some changes to the Consents tab, updated several templates and resolved a handful of issues. In this blog we will be looking at all of these changes and how they benefit users of EXACT.

Consents

The Consents tab stores any consent forms your patients have completed in your practice using a Clinipad. There have been a couple of updates to this feature:

📝 Added an Email option, enabling you to email patients or specialists copies of completed forms.
📝 Improved access to the Consents tab for all practices, whether they are using or have previously used Clinipads.

Templates

By popular request, several default SMS templates have been updated to include new wording and merge fields;

📱 The Short Notice List SMS templates (Gap Available, Gap Confirmed, and Gap Gone) have been updated with friendlier wording.
📱 Appointment Reminders now contain a link to Patient Portal for practices with this feature enabled.

💡 To utilise the new Patient Portal template, you may need to enable it for your practice. Go to Configure - Automatic Appointment Messages adding •PORTALREMINDERSMS to your Reminders setup.

There is more

In addition to these, several improvements and bug fixes have been implemented throughout June;

🐜 The Denplan Assessments Done report excluded any Denplan patient who did not have Denplan assigned as their main payor. This resulted in the report displaying incorrect figures. The report has been updated to include all Denplan patients, regardless of their main payor.
🖨️ The print option is now available straight after creating a prescription.
🐜 An issue causing patient details to be empty when an email was received from a patient with multiple 'active' email addresses has been resolved.
🐜 The New User Help option in EXACT was causing unnecessary memory usage with occasional crashing issues. The process has been updated, improving the feature's usability and reducing memory usage.
🐜 An updated workflow for a prompt on the arrival window relating to patients' bank account numbers has been implemented.
🌐 The functionality of the Custom Text tabs in the Online Booking Web setup has been updated with the tab headings now matching the description displayed in the Header section of the relevant tab.

All of these changes have been introduced in EXACT V24.52 to V24.66; updating your system to the latest version of EXACT ensures you have the latest developments and updates available.
