EXACT Release: October 2024

Throughout October, a range of improvements have been made to EXACT. From updates to scanning functionality, enhanced login security and patient communication tools, these improvements are aimed at making practice management faster and more efficient.

The upgraded scanning feature includes popular requested changes, such as lower-quality scans, ideal for scanning documents and an updated user interface to simplify workflows. Meanwhile, login improvements fix previous issues with email verification, helping ensure a smooth login experience for all users. 

In patient communication, new SMS and email templates make it easier to welcome new patients to your practice. Additional refinements, including changes to the EXACT Hub, receipt printing, and claims reporting , provide more control and flexibility.

New scanning functionality 

The new image acquisition scanning app has received a range of updates, improving the feature further. The changes include: 

๐Ÿ“„ The patient or specialist associated with the current scan will be displayed to help you identify where a scanned document will be saved. 
๐Ÿ“„ Scan and save without previewing. 
๐Ÿ“„ A lower quality 200dpi option is available, helping reduce scanning time and space required on your server. This option is perfect for plain text documents such as forms. 
๐Ÿ“„ Scanner settings are hidden until a scanner is selected. 
๐Ÿ“„ A new scanner icon displays in your computer taskbar, differentiating the scanning app from EXACT. 
๐Ÿ“„ The send to EXACT option is now only available upon completing a scan. 
๐Ÿ“„ Improved wording for error prompts. 
๐Ÿœ Resolved a bug causing saved scanner settings to be forgotten. 

Logging in 

Two bug fixes have been implemented to the email verification process used when logging into EXACT, improving the process. 

๐Ÿœ An issue causing email addresses to be blank on the initial login for providers is fixed, with these now being displayed correctly in all areas of the login process. 
๐Ÿœ Resolved a bug where email verification was attempted for previously deleted email addresses. 
๐Ÿœ Saving a blank email address in the user contact details no longer displays the verification prompt. 

Communication 

SMS has been added to new patientโ€™s automation functionality, providing the option to send welcome messages to patients as well as email. 

๐Ÿ“ฉ A new default SMS template is available for new patient messaging. 
๐Ÿ“ฉ A new default email template is available for new patient emails. 

In other areas 

Elsewhere in EXACT, we have implemented a range of improvements and bug fixes which you can find outlined below; 

๐Ÿ”” Updated wording for the EXACT Hub notification, improving understanding of the action being taken. 
๐Ÿœ A bug causing payor and clinic colours to display incorrectly has been resolved with the intended colours displayed on the appointment search window. 
๐Ÿ”ง Receipt printing configuration options now include the option to select the default delivery method with multiple settings now available. 
๐Ÿ”ง English and Scottish claims can now include X as their highest BPE sextant score as displayed on the DMF tab on the FP17 and GP17. 
๐Ÿ”— A refresh option has been added to standard link V2 tabs. 
๐Ÿœ An issue causing full-screen standard link windows to remain open upon closing is resolved. 
๐Ÿ“ท Copy image paths on the image tab by right-clicking to reveal an options menu. 
๐Ÿ”ฎ Pearl AI: An option to check the status of a file upload has been added. Hover over the thumbnail to display this information. 

 

Everything mentioned has been introduced from EXACT V24.145 to V24.XXX.
