How to Chart Treatment in EXACT

Charting treatment

Navigating the Chart tab in EXACT will improve your efficiency and allow you to focus on providing the best possible dental care for your patients. Refining and tweaking your charting process can enhance your workflow.

✅ Adding a pre-configured number of appointments to open when a new Course of Treatment (COT) is created reduces clicks in every appointment.
✅ Enabling and configuring quick charting and creating quick plans provides you with fast access to your most frequently used treatments.

With 2D and 3D tooth charts available, you can view your patients’ charting in a way that is most intuitive for you.

Periodontal charting

With periodontal charting playing a crucial role in detecting and preventing gum disease, both efficiency and accuracy are essential when entering large amounts of data.

There are two perio options you can use,

📝 Original perio charting displays a visual representation of each tooth along with an overview of pocket depth and recession as you enter data.
📝 Single-screen perio charting offers an advanced interface with the ability to record a full range of data in one view.

Recording BPE

Basic Periodontal Examinations (BPE) can be accessed via both the Perio tab and directly from the patient record. This feature allows you to record perio scoring and bleeding, along with stage, grade, and stability information.

💡 Tip: A patient’s highest recorded BPE score is displayed on the BPE icon itself.
